Bio

Brynna was born in Minnesota but moved to Wisconsin at a fairly young age. Her love for dance started as a young girl with ballet classes. Some of her earliest memories are of being mesmerized by Cyd Charisse and Gene Kelly twirling around the heather in Brigadoon and of trying to be Maria dancing the Lindler with Capt. Von Trapp in the family living room.   During high school her dance focus moved from classical to more hip-hop influenced dance groups and poms squads.

College brought Brynna from the University of Minnesota- Duluth to UW- Madison where she studied Spanish Linguistics and Culture. Her love of the Spanish language and Latino culture immediately merged with her love of dance and she fell in love with the free spirited Latino social dances. As she learned dances like Merengue, Salsa, and Bachata, she also started to pick up on regional differences in steps and styles. In 2002 she had the opportunity to live in Malaga, Spain where she briefly studied Flamenco dancing and in 2005 she was lucky enough to live abroad again, this time in Buenos Aires, Argentina where she studied Argentine style tango.
